The M12 Solderless Plug (also called M12 push-in / spring-cage / IDC field-wireable plug) is the no-iron, no-crimp-gun version of the classic M12×1.0 circular connector. It conforms to IEC 61076-2-101 (A-code sensor/actuator) and IEC 61076-2-109 (D/X-code Ethernet), mates with any standard M12 panel socket or M12 cordset, and delivers IP67 sealing when locked with the correct O-ring and cable gland.
Instead of soldering wire to a cup, you strip 6-8 mm of jacket, insert the conductor into a color/number-coded chamber, and a spring clip or IDC blade grips it automatically—assembly time drops from ~10 minutes (screw) to under 60 seconds per contact with no cold-joint risk.
It is the default fast-termination choice for 24 VDC sensor clusters, IO-Link devices, PROFINET drops, and field maintenance where a soldering iron is impractical on a live cabinet door.
