The M12 On-Site Terminable Connector (also known as an M12 field-wireable plug, M12 attachable connector, or M12 screw-terminal plug) is a cable-end component that can be assembled in the field, serving as the counterpart to a standard factory-overmolded M12 cordset. Rather than buying pre-made cables with predetermined lengths, you supply your own cable, strip the insulation, secure the wires into the contact carrier using a screwdriver (or via soldering/crimping), and fasten the connector body onto the cable with an M12×1.0 threaded locking ring.

It meets the requirements of IEC 61076-2-101 (sensor/actuator) and IEC 61076-2-109 (X-coded Ethernet), is compatible with any standard M12 panel receptacle or mating plug, and attains IP67 sealing when tightened with the appropriate O-ring and cable gland.
